Biomass Renewable Energy Plants

Ports of Dundee, Grangemouth, Rosyth and Leith

We are providing community engagement services to support Section 36 applications for four biomass renewable energy plants located across the east of Scotland.

Location: Ports of Dundee, Grangemouth, Rosyth and Leith
Status: In progress - applications not yet submitted
Size: Development of four biomass renewable energy plants providing a total output of 500MW
Scale: National

The key issues are:

Development of a community engagement programme that is tailored for each of the four sites to deliver a successful consent for the client.

We are providing a bridging role between PR and engagement activities to ensure that a consistent and positive message is presented across all project publicity.

We are providing a facilitating role between client and community and responding positively to the challenges of complex engagement processes.

We are organising and running a series of public events including exhibitions, one-to-one meetings and stakeholder events.

We are establishing and maintaining a successful working relationship with key community groups including community councils through an ongoing dialogue and attendance at meetings.

We are capturing information gathered at exhibitions and meetings to ensure clear feedback is provided to the client and documented accurately with the Environmental Impact Assessments and Statements of Participation which support the Section 106 applications.
