The key issues were:
- Preparation and submission of outline planning application for major mixed use development.
- Production of masterplan and submission alongside planning application.
- Preparation of environmental statement including co-ordination of specialist consultant team.
- Pre application discussions with a number of statutory consultees.
- Provision and presentation of visual material as part of the university's consultation process.
Our outputs included:
- Submission of planning application and environmental statement.
- Input to Leicester regeneration Company strategy and area based consultations.
- Potential creation of 3,500 jobs in a sustainable edge of centre location
- Potential for 100,000 sq m (1,076,391 sq ft) of mixed use development replacing 31,500 sq m (339,063 sq ft) of outdated academic floorspace.
