Planning input at bidder stage into the ITN documents, providing a review of the existing outline permission and a planning application strategy to take the development forward. We were employed by Consort Healthcare - a wing of Balfour Beatty.
Strong leadership was required for extensive pre-application discussions with the council. We secured a strong joint team working arrangement which delivered the application to programme.
Key issues included high quality, bespoke design and challenging timeframes.
Planning permission was delivered on time to meet the client's construction programme.
The first phase of the hospital opened in May 2010 with final completion of all site works in 2012.
