NEWSTurley Associates and the Commonwealth Games
In Autumn 2007, Turley Associates was appointed by Glasgow City Council to prepare a planning framework for the regeneration of Dalmarnock, the proposed site of the 2014 Commonwealth Games village.
Key to this project was providing an insight into the economic impact of the proposed National Indoor Sports Arena, which is expected to be built in the area by 2012. Turley Associates’ planning framework will influence the Glasgow City Plan through the East End Local Development Strategy.
This month Turley Associates has produced a Comment (see 'DOWNLOAD' below) that outlines the current plans for the Commonwealth Games and who is involved, and sets out the procurement process and timeline to deliver the athletes ‘village’ in Dalmarnock.
At the end of the Comment is a link to a brochure about our specific work relating to the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the broader regeneration of Glasgow’s East End.
