Yorkshire’s Three Peaks Charity Walk

Eleven Turley Associates’ employees raised over £6,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care when they recently completed the Three Peaks challenge. At 5am on a very wet and windy Saturday morning employees from the Manchester office rose to commence one of the most challenging walks on the charity walking calendar. Travelling 26 miles of rough terrain and climbing three of Yorkshire’s highest peaks, the walk took in the summits of Pen-y-ghent (694 metres - 2,276 feet), Whernside (736 metres - 2,415 feet) and Ingleborough (723 metres  2,372 feet) all in one circular route. The aim was to finish within 12 hours and all of our adventurers were successful in completing the challenge.

Donations from friends, family, colleagues and clients, meant that the team succeeded in raising in excess of £6,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care; making all the aches and pains worthwhile. Turley Associates’ new charitable trust matched the contributions made by the company’s clients.
